Farnborough Airshow from the eyes of Bluhalo

We're over midway through Air show week and it has been a pretty exciting one! Our vantage point overlooking the runway gives for a fantastic view of the planes both on the ground and in the air.

The flying display has certainly proven to be a point of interest for the team here at Bluhalo and so here we bring you the best of the photos taken over the last couple of days, courtesy of Simon Green. You can view his full set of airshow pictures at Flickr.

It's nearly airshow time

The build up to Farnborough Airshow has continued this week with validation flights from some of the aircraft on display.

Whilst yesterday was the turn of the fighter jets, today saw the Red Arrows coming in and giving everyone a taste of what to expect:

Farnborough Airshow

The Farnborough International Airshow has an impressive reputation that spans the globe. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Airshow and the centenary of the first powered flight in the UK, which took place at Farnborough.

As I’m sure you’re aware, our offices in Farnborough overlook Farnborough Airfield. During Airshow week (14th - 18th July) Bluhalo will be operating altered working hours, beginning at 6am and closing at 2pm.

As well as impressive and sometimes very noisy flying displays, the Airshow also boasts one of the largest exhibitions in Europe, with around 1500 exhibitors. As you can imagine, the event attracts large numbers of visitors causing traffic chaos in the area! To enable members of the Bluhalo team to avoid this traffic, we have implemented the above working hours.

If you are a client, please be reassured that all services and project work will remain unaffected. However, if you have any questions or concerns regarding these temporary changes, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with your account manager by calling 01252 70 11 11.
