Launch of new Impreza WRC2008

The new Impreza WRC2008 launched in Greece last night. Held in the SWRT service park and showcasing not just a totally new livery but a new hospitality unit, the team hosted over 120 international media in an event attended by some 160 people.

On hand were Mr Kudoh, President of STI, and David Richards, Team Principal and Chairman of Prodrive, David Lapworth, Technical Director and WRC2008 drivers Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson, and test driver Markko Martin. The introduction featured a highlights DVD, entitled "An Icon Evolves", illustrating the illustrious history of both the team and the synonymous blue and yellow livery, leading to the introduction of the new blue and white car. Presenters then went on to outline the key changes in the car such as the technical details.

The launch of the car is supported by the launch of a microsite, developed by Bluhalo, which includes the history of the car, plenty of imagery and a video featuring time-delayed shots of the entire build of the car from start to finish.
